Our Story
The Basement Poker Tour (BPT) started in 2020 as a way for friends to engage in degen behavior. What began as casual games in someone's basement has evolved into a regular monthly event that rotates between different hosts.
How It Works
Monthly Games
We typically meet once a month, usually on a Saturday evening. Games are hosted at different members' homes determined by the board.
Buy-ins and Payouts
Our standard buy-in is $20, with no rebuys. When there are 3 players remaining, they are presented with the option to split the pot every 3 hands until the play clock expires.
Player Capacity
Most of our games accommodate 6-8 players, depending on the host's space. RSVPs are essential to ensure we have the right number of players.
House Rules
- Texas Hold'em is our primary game
- 2 $20 games are played each night
- No professional dealers - we all take turns
- BYOB for alcoholic beverages
- Games typically run from 7pm to midnight
